Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology

Anatomy, physiology and relevant pathologies are mandatory components of all Body in Balance Training courses.

It is important you learn about the structure, function and pathologies of all the human body systems and how they relate to the therapy you are studying.

Whilst the common and less common pathologies are covered on the therapy course you commit to, it is your responsibility to study for and produce a recognised Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology prior to starting any therapy course at Body in Balance Training. This will give you a head start as it will put you in the right frame of mind as a student but also ensure our time on the course is focused on the therapy techniques, client care and communication and other mandatory units that will develop your skills as a self-employed therapist.

Details of excellent online courses (which you can sample) are available at both Essential Training Solutions and Gill Tree Training. For those who wish to upgrade existing qualifications in Anatomy & Physiology self-study modules are also available from both these highly recommended learning providers.

Click the buttons below to go straight to Essential Training Solutions (ETS) and/or Gill Tree Training where you can enrol on the online package of your choice for the Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy & Physiology for Complementary Therapies.

I welcome enquiries if you wish to speak to me first about which product might suit your particular learning style and needs best before you make a decision to enrol.

Mariette Lobo is on the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council Accredited Register

The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) is the UK voluntary regulator for complementary therapists.

CNHC was set up with government support to protect the public by providing a UK voluntary register of complementary therapists.

CNHC's register has been approved as an Accredited Voluntary Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.

Mariette Lobo is registered with the British Reflexology Association

The Bayly School of Reflexology is the official teaching body of The British Reflexology Association and was the first Reflexology training school to be established in Great Britain.

The Bayly Method of treatment is unique to The Bayly School in that the thumb is not flexed and extended in a caterpillar-like movement so the method is less stressful on the thumb (and finger) joints and the less rapid movement is considered to be more relaxing to the patient.
