For people on the journey to parenthood
This is a Continuing Professional Development course. It is anticipated this 2-day course will qualify for 10 CPD points with most professional bodies.
The next 2-day course will run on week-end dates to be announced in 2021, from 9.30am to 4pm in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland. There will be two twenty minute breaks (refreshment provided) and a forty five minute lunch break (refreshment not provided).
This is a CPD course for qualified reflexologists who would like to have a greater knowledge of the possibilities of reflexology for people on the journey to parenthood. Its focus is on:
- the pre-conception period
- birth and the post natal period.
The course also covers techniques for fertility issues. There will be several case study scenarios which will form part of the course assessment.

Annette Lobo, MSc, BSc, RGN, RM Complementary Therapist, has held various senior roles in the maternity care environment prior to her last role as Consultant Midwife for NHS Fife from which she retired in the summer of 2017.
In 2003, she chaired a group to develop a Best Practice Statement on Maternal History Taking which she presented at the 2005 International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) Congress in Brisbane. Annette is a midwife member of the UK wide Mothers and Babies: Reducing Risk through Audits and Confidential Enquiries (MBRRACE).
A practising reflexologist, she is also an expert witness on the Law Society of Scotland Register of Expert Witnesses and has written for publication and presented at various forums on maternity and midwifery.
With over 20 years in practice, Mariette Lobo has developed a blend of Eastern and Western therapies to create a holistic, preventative approach to healthcare.
She has followed a successful career as a complementary therapies lecturer in further education by becoming a private training provider and now runs Body in Balance Training, a centre of excellence for fully insured, professional, practitioner courses for complementary therapists
