About Mariette Lobo
I began working as a Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) practitioner in Glasgow in 1997. I built up a multi-therapy, complementary healthcare practice, initially at Napier’s Glasgow and then at The Buckingham Clinic before setting up independently as Body in Balance Clinic.
I specialise in The Bowen Technique, coMra Therapy, The Emmett Technique, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, and Reiki. I am a Master Teacher/Practitioner in Reiki.
Visit my Clinic page for the full list of therapies.
ClinicIn addition to my therapies practice I also offer Body in Balance Training and I am a visiting lecturer with the Bayly School of Reflexology (Edinburgh). I previously taught at colleges in Glasgow and Kirkcaldy, and pioneered the use of complementary therapies in the field of cancer/palliative care at the Beatson Oncology Centre and TakTent Cancer Support. I am passionate about raising public as well as medical and professional awareness of the benefits of complementary therapies.
My training school, Body in Balance Training, combines the best of traditional and modern methods to provide top quality courses. I offer world class vocational qualifications and my aim is to provide world class learning to help my students achieve their full potential as therapists in a challenging yet supportive learning environment.
Visit my Training page for more information and a full list of courses.
